TeraGreen research contribution: “Power Profiling of a High-Throughput RLL Encoder for THz Communications” by Daniel Swist, focused on energy-efficient digital processing for THz links.

TeraGreen-related paper on a 60-Gbps polymer microwave fiber communication link at Y-band. The KPI register lists the paper as accepted; suitable as a project research/news item.

Published TeraGreen research on an interference-limited zero-crossing modulation MIMO system for energy-efficient Tbps links, together with Nuria Llombart’s workshop contribution on highly efficient sub-THz wireless communications.

TeraGreen-related antenna research, including the workshop on emerging mm-wave and sub-THz antenna arrays and the reflector-lens hybrid antenna work for 300 GHz backhaul links.

Published paper: “IQ Imbalance Compensation for Receivers with 1-Bit Quantization and Oversampling” by K. Kochs, F. Mann, M. Dörpinghaus and G. Fettweis.

The consortium meet again in historic city of Dresden. Among others, research teams presented very promising results on quasi-optical antenna system as well as the chip design, fabrication, and packaging.

Moreover, we had an opportunity to hear about the activities at Vodafone Chair  Mobile Communications Systems  from its head, Prof. Gerhard Fettweis, and vits the TU Dresden test facilities.

TeraGreen-related conference presentation on advances in BiCMOS technology and design kits for RF applications, with Klaus Aufinger et al. The KPI register marks the activity as attended.

The consortium meeting in Gothenburg was an excellent opportunity to align on the upcoming work and prepare for building the project demonstrators.

Participants also visited the DEMO sites at Ericsson and Chalmers University of Technology.

The classIC PhD course package provides a cross-disciplinary understanding of design
challenges, from application level to digital and analog circuit design. The program bridges
traditional domains and focuses on real-world design trade-offs.

During the meeting in Munich, the consortium discussed the result of the 1st Period (M1-M12).

Advisory board members: Prof. Hikmet Sari and Prof. Robert Weigel, joined the meeting and provided valuable input to the consortium.

OTE Group (K. Filis) represented TeraGreen at the Infocom World 2024 International Conference & Exhibition.

TU Delft organized the European School of Antennas and Propagation during which Prof. Nuria Llombart Juan and Dr. Maria Alonso del Pino taught about "Terahertz Antennas and Imaging Systems".

The consortium met in Athens to discuss the progress of the projects and join the SNS JU workshop. 

The TeraGreen consortium has met in Delft to kick-start the TeraGreen project.
